R.I.P. Robin Williams

Robin Williams passed away today at the age of 63. While the cause of his death is tragic, his career and his legacy is anything but.

In 1989’s Dead Poets Society, Williams plays John Keating, an english teacher who gives the gift of poetry to his students, inspiring them to see life in a whole new way.

In this clip, he asks his students, reciting a passage from Walt Whitman, “the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”

What was Williams’ verse in the powerful play that we call life?

Beautiful. Extraordinary. Unmatched.
