If Christopher Nolan was able to re-define the way to make a reboot, Total Recall serves as yet another example why some “re-imaginations” should never see the light of day. A visual and auditory exhibition with great visuals but little heart, Total Recall stumbles out of the gate and never recovers, becoming another generic and instantly forgettable popcorn flick.

As a movie critic I pride myself on being able to find at least one thing I enjoy about every movie I watch and up to Aug. 22, I had accomplished that goal.
At roughly 4 p.m. on that fateful Monday, the streak ended. It was a streak I was proud of but, no matter how hard I tried, I could not find one redeeming quality with Fright Night.

Arthur, the 1981 film with Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli, John Gielgud, and written & directed by Steve Gorden, is a comic, sweet delight. The 2011 remake, is something that comes close but gets no cigar.
