Everyone is excited for the return of Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, opening this Friday. As we at Reel-2-Reality prepare for the end of Christopher Nolan’s saga, we take another look at the previous films so far with some (brief) reviews.

The first time I saw a trailer for The Dark Knight I remember thinking, “great another one, but at least this one has Heath Ledger.” Little did I know what a departure this film would be from every other Batman film. A film person’s equivalent to a breath of fresh air, especially after the plastic nippled George Clooney years (though I am not complaining), Dark Knight captured my attention unlike any superhero film before it. With The Dark Knight Rises opening in theaters Friday my tune has changed to “great another one! And this one has Joseph Gordon Levitt!” What can I say the appeal of a handsome man is something that never changes.
